By Rachel based on the passage in Luke: As I watch my flocks at night, an angel of the Lord appeared to me. And the glory of the Lord shone around me. And I was terrified. And I was terrified. Then the angel said, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news, of great joy! Today in David, a Savior Christ the Lord, is born to you, is born to you!” And he sang, “Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests. Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests.” “Let us go to Bethlehem my friends, to see this thing the Lord told us of!” So we hurried off excited and thrilled, to see this baby called Christ the Lord, to see this baby called Christ the Lord! Behold the baby in the manger wrapped in swaddling clothes, born in David, this Savior He is holy. Behold the baby in the manger wrapped in swaddling clothes, born in David, this baby Christ the Lord! Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests! Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests! (and we sing “Glory! Glory! Glory to God!” and we sing “Glory! Glory! Glory to God!” and we sing…”

All songs mastered by Daniel C. Smith (with the exception of "O Christmas Tree").

Album cover by Vesper Stamper (painted in watercolor with graphite on Bristol board). Inspired by a passage in the book of Isaiah about a stubborn shoot springing from a tree stump. It's also a hushed thank you to Christmas trees everywhere for giving their lives for our Christmas joy.
