LYRICS - traditional w/ original content composed by John
Here I am, Tannenbaum
evergreen unchanging
bless my heart Tannenbaum
evergreeen unchanging
verdant in the summertime
and in winter's frost and rime
Tannenbaum, lovely are thy branches
We adorn you Tannenbaum
donned in silver tinsel gown
We adore You, Everchild
promised sapling, sleeping mild
Everchild
Here I am, Tannenbaum
fragrant boughs may teach thee
bless my mind, Tannenbaum
fragrant boughs do teach me
faith and hope and charity
bring joy and peace eternally
Tannenbaum, lovely are thy branches

I love both of these tracks, but the Fourth of July remix honestly hits an entire different section of emotion with me, I've probably listened to it thousands of times at this point. The pure sadness and grief of the original is replaced by a hollow emptiness in the PPD remix that I have not heard in any other song before. Owen Farmer
