lyrics

In a town in Central Florida where the orange trees grow thick
and my mother always waves a warm hello.
Right about around thanksgiving people start to go insane
for the lack of sleds and sleighbells in the snow.
And they say
"na na nana na nana na nana na na na nana na na na na na na"

Well they start with plastic soldiers hung from every vacant lamp
to enforce the seasons greetings on the town.
Then the law enforced officials kick the children off the street
for a grand parade of marching bands and clowns.
And they say
"na na nana na nana na nana na na na nana na na na na na na"

My friend Ashley says "I'm going to LA
where at least they own the weather that they have"
My friend Rowelyn just kissed Andrew on the mouth
so I kicked him in the shins.
I kicked him in the shins. Merry Christmas.

Well I can't take all the action that the holidays require
so I'm moving to the Everglades today
where I'll eat with alligators, be protected by Greenpeace
in an ecosystem threatened by decay
And I'll say
"na na nana na nana na nana na na na nana na na na na na na"
